How to transfer an existing Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund to a Triodos Junior Cash ISA

You can transfer an existing Junior cash ISA, Junior stocks and shares ISA or Child Trust Fund to a Triodos Junior Cash ISA without losing the tax-free status. Remember, the benefits of ISAs depend on your circumstances and tax rules may change in future.

  • Each child can only have one Junior cash ISA and one Junior stocks and shares ISA at any one time. These can be with different providers
  • A child cannot hold a Child Trust Fund at the same time as any type of Junior ISA, so if the child already has a Child Trust Fund it must be closed and transferred to the Triodos Junior Cash ISA
  • If the child already has a Junior cash ISA with another provider, it must be closed and transferred to the Triodos Junior Cash ISA
  • You can also choose to transfer funds in full or partially from a Junior stocks and shares ISA, with Triodos or another provider, to your Triodos Junior Cash ISA
  • Please check with your existing provider if there are any penalties or charges for transferring out.

You can transfer in just a few simple steps.

  • Open a Triodos Junior Cash ISA

    Already have a Triodos Junior Cash ISA? Move onto step two.

    If you don't currently have one, you'll need to apply for a Triodos Junior Cash ISA through the Triodos App before you can transfer another Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund into it.

  • Complete your transfer form

    Select the appropriate transfer form, complete it and set it to us by attaching it to a message in the Triodos App by going to 'More' then 'Help, or by logging into Internet Banking and clicking the speech bubble icon in the bottom corner of your screen. You can also return it by post using the address on the form.

    The form tells us which accounts you want to move. If you want to transfer more than one account to us, please send us a separate form for each account you wish to transfer.

    The transfer forms are interactive so you can add your details online. However, we need an original signature, so you'll need to print and sign the form before attaching it to a message or posting it to us.

  • We'll transfer the cash across to your Junior ISA

    We'll transfer the cash directly between your accounts and protect your tax-free status.

    We'll let you know when the transfer is complete. The whole process usually takes 14-30 days.
